Artist Statement
I find human darkness, light, intensity, shadow, shade, shape and hue endlessly fascinating. Whether exploring those juxtapositions using paint on a canvas as my medium or combining thoughtful lyrics sung over guitar chords it is the driving force behind my creative expression.

Endless hours quietly absorbing the process of recording and crafting of a great record as an intern at Ultrasonic studios and then at the helm of her own two recording projects has only helped to deepen Nicole’s keen eye for detail.
Nicole studied Fine Art at LSU and UNO with a focus on painting. “I remember in a figure drawing class at LSU I was introduced to painting for the first time and I was hooked! We were using oils but I switch between acrylics and oils depending on time constraints.”
She has shown her work at PoBoy Fest, Arts Market New Orleans , Howliday Market @City Park, Wild Things Family Runion, Bayou Boogaloo, Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival, Wednesdays at the Square, Cajun Zydeco Fest, Treme & Congo Square Fest, Festival Acadiens & Creoles, Covington 3 Rivers Fest, Blues & BBQ, Festival International & the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
