Gavi Kaplan was born in Boston, MA and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Birmingham-Southern College. He began illustrating in 2018 after a long drive from Birmingham to Manhattan resulted in a fruitful weekend of architectural photography and inspiration.

Gavi Kaplan currently resides in New Orleans, using pen and ink to illustrate the daydream of New Orleans, along with other scenes and cityscapes. With no formal background in art or illustration, Gavi uses architectural illustrations to express the world around him.
