- Cultivate young people's sense of belonging and connection to their community as they transform public spaces through beautiful art and express their voices in a positive way.
- Promote socio-emotional wellbeing through a caring and creative environment.
- Provide youth with professional, entrepreneurial, and academic skills that expand their future employment and educational prospects.
The awe-inspiring work of YAM is that youth, some of whom have never had a structured art course, find themselves completing large-scale projects such as murals, sculptures, street furniture, and expansive digital projections. Youth artists gain the confidence to tackle these projects as they are mentored by local professional artists and educators through research, design, and installation.
